Introduction

Our 2nd International Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy Conference & Exhibition 2012 with the theme “ Prospect and Challenge of Cardiovascular  Pharmacotherapy” which organize by pharmacy services department in Prince Sultan Cardiac Center, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will strive to present topics that highlight new evidence-based medicine findings reported within the last one to two years that impact cardiovascular clinical practice. These will range across a variety of cardiologic topics including preventive cardiology, thromboembolic disease, interventional cardiology, ischemic heart disease, electrophysiology, heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, heart transplantation, women cardiology, personalized medicine and hypertension.

This update in cardiology is an educational initiative featuring sessions each focusing on a different cardiology related topic. The curriculum is based on recent updates and designed to change audience competence, performance and patient outcomes through a series of lectures, interactive discussion, and workshops. The focus is on clinical implications of recent pivotal trial data, discussion of topics and issues most relevant to the practicing cardiologist, practical insights you can apply immediately in practice. The treatments and therapies we will learn about in this symposium will improve our patients' care tomorrow ... more
